POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah of Sindh has robustly defended his government's development initiatives during the Sindh Vision event, addressing criticism by showcasing significant achievements across the province.
In a multimedia presentation at the Sindh Assembly's auditorium hall, Shah used slides, videos, and maps to illustrate various projects, including infrastructure, healthcare, and education in Thar. He emphasized that these initiatives, such as airports, hospitals, and educational institutions, are transforming the region and benefiting local communities.
Shah highlighted the construction of small dams in Tharparkar, Nangarparkar, Jamshoro, Dadu, and Qamber Shahdadkot, underscoring their role in water management and local development. He noted that due to effective policies, Nangarparkar alone has contributed significantly to the provincial revenue.
"71% of the local population is engaged in mining projects in Thar, demonstrating the economic impact and employment opportunities created," Shah stated.
The event, attended by representatives from civil society, media organizations, and broadcasting agencies, aimed to showcase the Sindh government's achievements amidst ongoing criticism.
