China has called for an immediate end to the ongoing military operations in Iran, emphasizing the need for diplomacy and international justice to resolve the conflict.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that China is “deeply concerned about the spread of war to neighboring countries” and condemned the indiscriminate use of force. The statement reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to playing a constructive role, including promoting justice within the UN Security Council, supporting peace efforts, and preventing further escalation.
China also recognized Iran’s legitimate right to pursue the peaceful use of nuclear energy and emphasized that the Iranian nuclear issue should ultimately be resolved through political and diplomatic means rather than military action.
The spokesperson urged all parties involved to immediately halt military operations and take measures to prevent the conflict from spilling over to surrounding regions, highlighting Beijing’s call for restraint amid growing tensions in the Middle East.
China’s statement underscores its broader approach to the Iran crisis, advocating negotiation and multilateral engagement as the pathway to long-term stability.
