UAE Denies Use of Airspace for Attacks on Iran, Declares Full Combat Readiness

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that its airspace will not be used for military attacks on Iran, while affirming that its armed forces are in full combat readiness amid regional tensions.

Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al-Hashemi stated in a press briefing that Iran’s ballistic missile program represents a threat to regional security, and the UAE reserves the right to defend itself. She emphasized that a military solution is not viable, warning that escalation could destabilize the region.

The UAE has already taken diplomatic measures in response to recent Iranian attacks, including closing its embassy in Tehran and recalling its ambassador.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the UAE Ministry of Defense said that Emirati forces remain in a state of full combat readiness, with no compromise on national sovereignty or security. The announcement reflects heightened alert levels as the UAE closely monitors developments in the Middle East.

The UAE’s dual approach — denying use of its airspace for aggression while reinforcing military preparedness — signals its intent to protect sovereignty while avoiding direct involvement in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
