Faisal Vawda Uncovers Karachi Port Land Scandal Worth Billions

Senator Faisal Vawda has made a major revelation regarding a massive land scam at Karachi Port, claiming that land worth Rs 40 billion was allotted for only Rs 5 billion.

During a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Maritime Affairs, which he chaired, Vawda exposed the irregularities, stating that the market value of 500 acres of Karachi Port land exceeds Rs 60 billion.

Land Allotment Under Scrutiny

Vawda emphasized the urgency of halting all land allotment transactions at the port, calling it a mega scandal. He stated that future allocations would be made transparently and in consultation with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

"Today, I have saved the nation Rs 60 to 70 billion," Vawda told reporters after the meeting.

Army Chief’s Stance & Immediate Actions

Referring to a statement by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Vawda noted that national interests must come first. He revealed that land worth Rs 8-10 crore per acre was being allotted for Rs 1 million per acre, with some plots even given on loan in deals that had been ongoing for the last 4-5 years.

Steps Taken

  • Immediate freeze on all Karachi Port land transactions
  • Instructions issued to halt further land allotments
  • Investigation into past transactions
  • 6000 yards of prime beachside land frozen for review

Vawda assured that billions of rupees would soon be recovered, and the nation would see practical results from these actions.
