FIA Multan Arrests Father-Son Duo in Rs 24 Million Job Fraud Case

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Multan has apprehended two suspects, Muhammad Nadeem and Haji Riaz, a father and son duo, involved in a massive job fraud case involving over Rs 24 million. The accused had deceived numerous citizens by promising overseas jobs, particularly in Spain, but instead engaged in illegal migration tactics.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the duo falsely assured victims of securing employment in Spain. However, instead of sending them directly, the victims were sent to Saudi Arabia and other countries on visit or Umrah visas. Subsequently, these individuals were illegally transported to Mauritania, where attempts were made to smuggle them by sea to Europe, especially Spain.

The FIA has registered 14 inquiries against the accused in its Composite Circle Multan office. Ongoing investigations are continuing, with victim statements being recorded to strengthen the case.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution when seeking overseas employment and to rely only on authorized and legitimate sources to avoid falling prey to fraudulent agents.
