Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has sought clarification from the Election Commission regarding the allocation of funds for local government elections in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Islamabad.
The matter was discussed during a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, chaired by the Finance Minister. Aurangzeb directed the Election Commission to resubmit a summary of Rs 455 million with detailed breakdowns.
Separately, the ECC approved handing over goods seized by customs to the Gilgit-Baltistan government.
In another meeting chaired by the Finance Minister, the 2025 Procurement Policy of Exim Bank was also approved, reflecting the government’s continued focus on strengthening economic and financial governance.
