Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy on Monday, during which the two sides discussed the evolving regional situation and mutual efforts for peace and cooperation.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar provided a detailed briefing to his British counterpart on the current regional dynamics, particularly in light of rising tensions and Pakistan’s strategic priorities.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dar strongly rejected India's baseless allegations, reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguard its national sovereignty while simultaneously working toward regional peace and stability.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in the region and commended Islamabad's efforts to maintain peace, emphasizing that regional issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
The two foreign ministers reaffirmed their desire to enhance cooperation and agreed to maintain close contact on all matters of mutual interest.
This latest conversation follows an earlier outreach by Ishaq Dar to David Lammy in recent days, further highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic push to update global partners on its position in the face of increasing regional tensions and disinformation campaigns.
