Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has managed to bridge internal divides within the party by facilitating a reconciliation between key party leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to party sources, Gohar held a series of crucial meetings with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, former Speaker Asad Qaiser, senior politician Atif Khan, and Shahram Tarakai. During the talks, Ali Amin Gandapur reportedly agreed to end tensions and work collaboratively with the other PTI leaders.

Speaking to Geo News, Barrister Gohar confirmed the breakthrough, saying:

“I made an effort to end the party’s internal differences. Ali Amin Gandapur has shown willingness to resolve the issues.”

Gohar downplayed the rift, saying internal disagreements are common in major political parties, but added that unity is essential, especially during such a critical phase for PTI.

“There are differences in big parties, but that doesn’t mean there is a breakup. Everyone agrees that internal discord will only worsen the situation. The party founder’s release is our collective goal,” he said.

On the other side, Atif Khan also confirmed the development, stating:

“I, Asad Qaiser, and Shahram Tarakai have decided to reconcile with Ali Amin Gandapur for the sake of party unity.”

The reconciliation comes at a time when PTI faces increased political pressure, legal challenges, and internal fragmentation following the events of 2023. Party leadership believes that presenting a united front is vital to navigate the ongoing challenges and push for Imran Khan’s release and political resurgence.

Political analysts view this move as a positive step for PTI's organizational revival in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which has long been considered its political stronghold.
