POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has clarified that party founder Imran Khan did not ask Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to resign, but had only expressed concerns over the province’s law and order situation.
Speaking to Geo News, Barrister Gohar said Imran Khan is against any planned operation in KP, and the provincial government shares the same stance. “The founder PTI believes that such an operation would not be in the best interest of the province,” he noted.
Commitment to the Movement
Addressing speculation about Imran Khan’s family, Barrister Gohar said the PTI founder himself had made it clear that his sons do not need to come to Pakistan. “Even while in jail, he believes he is enough for the movement,” Gohar added.
Grand Alliance Efforts
The PTI chairman also revealed that attempts were made to include Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in a Grand Alliance. However, both parties opted not to join the coalition.
Barrister Gohar reiterated that PTI remains committed to political struggle despite the challenges and will continue its efforts to strengthen the party’s position in the province and across Pakistan.
