Governor Sindh Orders Action Over Public Gun Display and Firing in Karachi

Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori has taken notice of the recent incident involving the public display of weapons and firing in Karachi, calling it an unacceptable act that endangers citizens’ lives and undermines law and order.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Governor said that “pointing a gun at citizens is not acceptable under any circumstances.” He directed the Inspector General of Sindh Police to immediately take notice of the incident and initiate legal action against those involved.

“The law must be equal for everyone,” Tesori emphasized, adding that “only then will people have faith in the police and justice system.”

Governor Tesori also expressed condolences to the family of a man who lost his life in a recent dumper collision in Karachi. He instructed authorities to ensure that the injured wife of the deceased receives all necessary medical treatment and support.

Highlighting the growing concern over road safety, the Governor remarked that while heavy fines are being issued for traffic violations, those responsible for fatal accidents must face exemplary punishment.

He reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace and justice in Karachi, urging law enforcement agencies to enforce strict measures against reckless behavior, both on the roads and in public spaces.
