The federal government, along with the military and provincial leadership, has decided to give a befitting response to anti-national narratives through digital and traditional media.
A high-level meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s House, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with participation from military officials and civil representatives from all four provinces, as well as Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Key Decisions from the Meeting:
🔹 Exposing Terrorist Attacks: Efforts will be intensified to expose the Jafar Express attackers and highlight their actions on global platforms.
🔹 Strengthening the National Narrative: Under the National Action Plan (NAP), an effective and proactive narrative will be developed to counter terrorism and separatist ideologies.
🔹 Countering Anti-State Content: A robust response strategy will be implemented against fake news, deepfake content, and misinformation circulating on social media.
🔹 Media & Entertainment Strategy:
- Films & Dramas will incorporate national themes to strengthen patriotism.
- The negative social impact of terrorism will be highlighted in media content.
🔹 Educational Reforms:
- Awareness about terrorism and national security will be integrated into the national curriculum to educate the youth.
Cooperation Among Provinces
The meeting also emphasized greater inter-provincial collaboration for national security, ensuring a unified stance against misinformation and terrorist propaganda.
This strategic approach aims to protect national security, promote unity, and ensure a coordinated response to emerging threats in the digital era.
