Imran Khan Calls for Protests, Says He Is Ready for Martyrdom

Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has urged the public to take to the streets, stating that he will either live with the freedom of the people or be ready for martyrdom. He emphasized that he will not compromise on his stance.

Speaking at a press conference at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said that Imran Khan believes “all doors of justice have been closed,” with court proceedings halted and verdicts being delivered without proper hearings.

“The founder of PTI has conveyed that the people now have no option but to protest, raise their voices, and stand in solidarity with all prisoners, especially women,” Raja said. He added that preparations for a nationwide street movement should begin, as legal avenues have reportedly been exhausted.

Raja also criticized the imprisonment of Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, saying she has been jailed merely for being his spouse. He further alleged that claims by government spokespersons suggesting Imran has been allowed to meet freely are false. Today, Imran only had a brief meeting with his lawyer Salman Safdar, and neither he nor his legal team was present when the verdict was announced.

The PTI leadership has called on citizens to mobilize and protest in response to what they describe as a “closure of justice” and political targeting.
