Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Saturday that 14 US military bases in the region were targeted in retaliation for Israeli and US strikes, with “hundreds of American soldiers” reportedly killed. The IRGC named the campaign “Operation Promised Truth 4” and warned that its missile and drone operations would continue with full force.
According to a spokesman for the IRGC, the strikes also targeted US bases in Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE, as well as military positions in the occupied Palestinian territories (Israel). The IRGC described the operation as a response to attacks by the US and Israel, stating that the campaign is being carried out against the “child-killing Zionist regime” and its regional allies.
However, a CENTCOM spokesperson quickly dismissed the Iranian claims, stating that reports of 200 US soldiers killed or injured were false and that no US Navy ships were damaged. The Pentagon emphasized that it continues to monitor the situation closely and has not confirmed any operational impact from Iranian missile or drone activity.
This latest escalation comes amid a broader wave of tensions in the Middle East, with Iran seeking to retaliate against Israeli and US military operations. Both sides have signaled a willingness to continue military action, raising concerns about further destabilization in the region.
The situation remains fluid, and international observers are urging restraint while diplomatic channels attempt to prevent further escalation.
