Iran has condemned the recent US and Israeli attacks on its territory, describing them as illegitimate and unprovoked. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated on social media that the strikes, orchestrated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump, were “illegal and unjustified.”
Araqchi criticized the shift in US foreign policy, claiming that the “America First” approach has been replaced by an “Israel First” policy. He warned that Iran’s powerful armed forces are ready to respond to any aggression and will “teach the attackers the lesson they deserve.”
In his post on X, Araqchi also shared a screenshot of a 2012 tweet by Donald Trump, in which Trump suggested that public opinion could influence decisions to attack countries like Libya or Iran during President Obama’s tenure.
The Iranian statement follows global concerns about escalation in the region. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also expressed apprehension about possible attacks, citing past precedents where major scandals, such as the release of the Epstein files or the Monica Lewinsky scandal, were followed by aggressive foreign policy moves to divert public attention.
Iran’s firm stance signals the potential for further military and diplomatic developments, with officials emphasizing readiness to defend national sovereignty and respond decisively to foreign aggression.
