Iran Denies Trump’s Claim of Phone Call, Warns US Against Military Action

Iran has denied claims of initiating any phone call to discuss a deal with the United States. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi clarified that there has been no ceasefire, no negotiations, and certainly no call made to the US regarding any deal.

Addressing concerns over US military presence, Araqchi stated that Iran is fully prepared to respond, warning that any boots on Iranian soil would lead to “a great disaster for the US.”

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian highlighted ongoing mediation efforts by some countries. However, he emphasized that these efforts should focus on the US and Israel, which Iran holds responsible for inciting regional conflicts. “Iran desires lasting peace in the region,” Peshkeshian said.

The statements come a day after President Trump claimed that Iran had reached out to the US for a deal—a claim Tehran has firmly rejected, insisting that such a window has now passed.

The latest developments underline rising tensions in the Middle East, with Iran sending a clear message regarding its readiness to defend its sovereignty and calling for responsible mediation from international actors.
