The deadline for installing M-Tags on vehicles in Islamabad has been extended by 15 days, the district administration announced on Wednesday. The decision follows instructions from the Federal Interior Minister aimed at facilitating citizens and reducing congestion at M-Tag centers.
Authorities have urged all vehicle owners in the federal capital to ensure M-Tags are installed by January 15, 2026. After this date, vehicles without M-Tags will be subject to penalties for violating traffic regulations.
The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad emphasized that the extension is intended to provide citizens with additional time to comply with legal requirements while ensuring a smooth and transparent traffic system.
