Jordanian Military Chief Calls on Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmed, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

According to the ISPR, matters of mutual interest, including the evolving regional security situation, were discussed during the meeting. Both sides exchanged views on current and emerging security challenges faced by the region.

Major General Yousef Ahmed appreciated the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces and praised the Pakistan Army’s contributions toward peace and stability at both regional and global levels.

The ISPR said that Field Marshal Asim Munir and the Jordanian CJCS reiterated their commitment to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation and military-to-military ties.

Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of joint efforts, coordination and collaboration between friendly countries to effectively address changing security dynamics and emerging threats.

The meeting reflects the growing defence relations between Pakistan and Jordan and underscores the shared commitment of both armed forces to regional peace and stability.
