U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has officially entered the 2024 presidential race by submitting her nomination papers, signaling her intent to run for the highest office in the country. This move comes on the heels of significant endorsements from prominent political figures.

In a social media post on X, Harris shared a photo of herself signing the official documents, accompanied by a message of determination. “I have officially signed my papers to run for President of the United States. I will work hard to get every single vote and the power of our people in November,” she stated, expressing confidence in her campaign's success.

The announcement follows former President Barack Obama’s endorsement of Harris, adding substantial weight to her candidacy. Obama, along with his wife, Michelle, has publicly declared their support for Harris, praising her as a strong candidate for the presidency. “We are confident that our friend Kamala Harris will be the best president for the United States,” Obama remarked on social media.

Kamala Harris’s candidacy comes after current President Joe Biden’s announcement of his exit from the presidential race. Biden has also endorsed Harris, further consolidating her position within the Democratic Party.

If elected, Kamala Harris would make history as the first female and first Indian-American President of the United States. Her campaign is poised to address a range of national issues and seek to mobilize a diverse voter base in the upcoming November election.
