The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an alert regarding adverse weather conditions, predicting rains accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds across most parts of the province from Thursday through Tuesday.

In light of the forecast, the PDMA has directed all Deputy Commissioners throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to implement necessary precautionary measures aimed at minimizing potential human and material losses during this period of inclement weather. The agency emphasized the importance of preparedness in light of past experiences with extreme weather events.

The Control Room of the PDMA is fully operational and is ready to assist residents in case of emergencies. Individuals can reach out for support or report issues by dialing 1700.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has also provided insights into the weather pattern, indicating that while primarily dry weather is expected in most districts, hot conditions are likely to prevail in the plain areas. On Wednesday, mainly dry weather is anticipated across most districts, with some areas such as Abbotabad, Mansehra, Dir, and Swat experiencing rain and thunderstorms during the evening and night.

Residents are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being as the weather system approaches.
