The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a Rs 100 million bounty on the head of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Commander Kazim, making him the most wanted militant in the province.
According to government sources, Commander Kazim, a native of Began village in Kurram district, has been marked as a top priority in the province’s counterterrorism efforts.
Bounties on Other TTP Commanders
Apart from Kazim, bounties have also been placed on the following TTP commanders:
- Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud
- Khalid Khorasani
- Shahid Umar
However, the bounty on Kazim is ten times higher than that of the others, signaling the government’s firm stance on eliminating high-profile militants.
Government’s Strategy Against Terrorism
Officials have termed this move as part of a broader counterterrorism policy, aiming to capture or neutralize wanted terrorists through financial incentives.
This decision follows a series of recent security operations and reflects Pakistan’s increasing efforts to curb terrorism in the region.
