Jammu & Kashmir – A powerful explosion ripped through the Nowgam police station in Srinagar, followed by a raging fire that caused widespread destruction, according to Indian media reports.

Authorities confirmed that seven people were killed and 27 others injured in the incident. The blast reportedly occurred due to the detonation of seized ammonium nitrate stored at the police station.

Initial reports indicate extensive damage inside the compound, with several vehicles completely engulfed in flames and parts of the building severely affected. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to control the fire and rescue those trapped.
