NADRA Blocks Aleema Khan’s ID and Passport on Court Orders

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has blocked the identity card and passport of Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, following orders from the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the hearing of the case registered against Aleema Khan and 11 others in connection with the November 26 protest. However, Aleema and her legal team failed to appear before the court once again.

During the proceedings, ten other accused and prosecution witnesses were present, along with Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah and his team.

Due to her continuous non-appearance, the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan for the sixth time. NADRA also submitted a compliance report confirming that her CNIC and passport have been officially blocked as per the court’s directives.

Meanwhile, another accused, Arif Khan, who had taken custody of a vehicle used during the November 26 protest, failed to produce the required bond. Consequently, the court sent Arif Khan to jail.

The case relates to the November 26 protest organized by PTI supporters, during which multiple party leaders were booked under anti-terrorism provisions. Aleema Khan’s persistent absence from the court has led to escalating legal actions, including arrest warrants and document restrictions.
