Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant Issued for Imran Khan’s Sister Aleema Khan

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, due to her repeated absence from court proceedings. The case, pertaining to the November 26 protest, was heard by Judge Amjad Ali Shah, who noted that Aleema Khan had failed to appear before the court despite multiple summons. According to court officials, 11 accused, including Aleema Khan, are facing charges in the case. During the latest hearing, 10 accused were present, along with five prosecution witnesses, including those linked to the property aspect of the case. The court, expressing its displeasure over Aleema’s continued non-appearance, issued a third non-bailable arrest warrant and also extended the same order for her guarantor, Umar Sharif. The judge directed the police to arrest Aleema Khan and produce her before the court on October 22, warning that further delays would not be tolerated. Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi has been instructed to verify the property documents submitted by Aleema’s guarantor to ensure their authenticity. The case relates to the November 26 protest, during which several PTI leaders and workers were booked under anti-terrorism laws.
