HYDERABAD, SINDH: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has made significant progress in enhancing Pakistan's energy supply by commencing oil and gas production from the Kunar West Well-3 located in the Hyderabad district of Sindh.

This move represents a major milestone in the country’s energy sector, marking the successful activation of a well with a wellhead flowing pressure of 1200 PSI. The well will contribute significantly to Pakistan’s energy needs, producing 3.5 million cubic feet of gas, 30 barrels of condensate, and 3.8 metric tons of LPG per day.

Strategic Importance for Pakistan’s Energy Supply

The successful start of Kunar West Well-3 production is a reflection of the ongoing improvements in Pakistan’s energy sector and signals a further stabilization of the country’s hydrocarbon supply. The gas extracted from this well has been successfully integrated into the existing network of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), which will help ensure that the energy supply remains consistent across the country.
