A deadly shooting took place outside an Islamabad district court on Monday, resulting in one fatality and leaving another person injured, police officials confirmed.

The Islamabad Police, in a post on X (formerly Twitter) at 1:04 pm, stated: “Police officials are at the scene. One person has died and one was injured in the shooting.”

Possible Motive

According to initial police investigations, the incident appears to have stemmed from personal enmity. “The incident occurred due to personal enmity. Further investigation into the incident is underway,” the police added.

Search for the Suspect

Law enforcement agencies have launched a search operation to track down and arrest the accused. “Police teams are conducting search operations to arrest the accused,” the Islamabad Police stated.

The attack has raised security concerns in the federal capital, especially regarding safety measures around judicial complexes. Authorities are expected to review security protocols following this incident.
