Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Muzaffarabad on Friday, paying homage to the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial and highlighting the sacrifices of those who have struggled for Kashmir’s cause.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir laid flowers at the memorial and appreciated the bravery and selfless dedication of the martyrs of the Kashmir movement.
Speaking to prominent personalities and ex-servicemen, the Army Chief said India’s state aggression and serious violations of human rights have failed to break the morale of the Kashmiri people. He emphasized that despite policies rooted in Hindutva, the Kashmiri struggle has grown stronger.
“Pakistan will continue to provide political, moral, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir,” Munir said. “Kashmir will soon see a new dawn of freedom, which is the collective desire and destiny of the Kashmiri people. Pakistan will continue to raise the cause of Kashmir vigorously at international forums.”
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to resolving the Kashmir issue in line with United Nations resolutions.
During his visit, Field Marshal Munir also toured the front lines and met soldiers deployed in Kashmir. He praised their courage, professional standards, and operational readiness, stressing the importance of maintaining high morale and coordination at all levels.
“Despite difficult operational conditions, the high morale of our soldiers is commendable,” Munir said. “Any hostile move will be met with prompt, effective, and forceful response. Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to deal with both conventional and hybrid threats.”
The visit underscores Pakistan’s continued emphasis on supporting Kashmiris politically and diplomatically while ensuring military preparedness along the Line of Control.
