POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called upon the Muslim world to adopt a united stance on the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and presented Pakistan’s proposals for a permanent ceasefire.
Speaking at a special session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Ishaq Dar emphasized the urgent need for collective action to stop Israeli aggression and provide humanitarian relief.
🔹 "48,000 Palestinians, including women and children, have been martyred in Gaza. Its infrastructure has been destroyed. Mosques, schools, hospitals, and commercial centers have been reduced to rubble," Dar said.
🔹 "The survival of the people of Gaza depends on immediate aid. Stopping humanitarian assistance, especially in Ramadan, is a war crime," he added.
Pakistan’s Proposals for Gaza Ceasefire
Pakistan put forward a three-point ceasefire plan, urging the Muslim world to take decisive steps beyond mere statements of condemnation.
The key proposals include:
✅ An immediate ceasefire and a permanent end to hostilities.
✅ Unhindered humanitarian assistance and a comprehensive reconstruction plan.
✅ Complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and an end to aggression in the West Bank.
Dar stressed that any forced displacement of Palestinians should be considered a "red line" that the Muslim world must reject.
"Displacing Palestinians is Genocide" – FM Dar
The Foreign Minister strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s suggestion of relocating Palestinians to Saudi Arabia.
🔹 "The Muslim world must reject any plan aimed at displacing Palestinians. This is nothing less than genocide," he asserted.
🔹 "Pakistan stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, and the OIC must act now. Palestinians need action, not just statements of sympathy."
OIC's Role in Ending Israeli Aggression
Ishaq Dar urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take a firm stand and reject any compromise that allows Israeli expansionism.
With the humanitarian situation worsening, Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Palestine, both diplomatically and in humanitarian efforts.
As the crisis escalates, all eyes are now on the OIC to take decisive action in ensuring a just and lasting peace for Palestine.
