Pakistan Will Never Bow Down, Says DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif has emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering spirit and self-reliance, declaring that the country has never bowed down and will never do so in the future.

Speaking to a leading Chinese media group in an exclusive interview, the Pakistan Army spokesperson said, “After Allah, we depend on ourselves the most. The most important asset for Pakistan is its strength and resolve. When we stand united, the international community is compelled to take notice.”

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif highlighted that the global landscape today is marked by numerous challenges such as climate change, overpopulation, and rising regional tensions. He questioned the legitimacy of nations imposing their will on neighbors through fabricated narratives and unjustified aggression.

“Should one country attack another unjustifiably and try to dominate through falsehoods? This is unacceptable. The Pakistani nation has resisted in the past and will continue to resist,” he stated.

Reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to national defense and sovereignty, he said, “Our desire for martyrdom is greater than our desire for life. We will never compromise on our dignity or freedom.”

The army spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, saying, “Look at the streets of Pakistan — they reflect peace. Both Pakistan and China are striving for stability and harmony in the region. We continue to confront the scourge of terrorism whose sole aim is to derail development.”

He also praised China’s rapid development and progress, expressing the aspirations of the Pakistani people to follow a similar path of stability and growth. “Pakistan’s iron wall of unity — its people, armed forces, and all institutions — will turn its strength against terrorism. This is the foundation on which development will rise.”

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif concluded with a message of hope and determination: “The world will see how Pakistan surges forward. Humanity, unity, and strength define our people.”
