The Interior Ministry has confirmed the blocking of passports of Malik Riaz, Ali Riaz, Shahzad Akbar, and Farah Khan in connection with the £190 million case. The action was taken on the recommendation of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to ministry officials, NAB requested the cancellation of the passports through a formal letter on January 28.

Fraud Allegations Against Bahria Town Owner:

NAB has accused Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz and others of multiple cases of fraud, deceit, and illegal occupation of government and private lands.

A NAB spokesperson revealed that evidence has been found of unauthorized housing societies and fraudulent collection of billions of rupees from unsuspecting citizens. "Illegal occupations were carried out in Karachi, Takht Padi, Rawalpindi, New Murree, Peshawar, and Jamshoro without necessary approvals," the spokesperson stated.

Asset Seizures and Further Legal Action:

Numerous assets have already been seized, and NAB is preparing to confiscate additional properties belonging to the accused.

The spokesperson added that Malik Riaz, the main accused in the National Crime Agency (NCA) case, remains a fugitive from justice, wanted by both the court and NAB.
