People's Party MNA Appeals to Army Chief for Intervention in Sindh Amid Rising Banditry
HALA — In a dramatic appeal during the Independence Day ceremony in Hala, Makhdoom Jamil-ul-Zaman, a Member of the National Assembly from the People's Party, called on Army Chief General Asim Munir to intervene and restore peace in Sindh.
Jamil-ul-Zaman voiced concerns over the growing banditry in the region, which he claims is driving the minority Hindu community to migrate from Sindh and tarnishing the country’s image. The MNA criticized the provincial government’s inability to address the issue, stating that "it is not within the power of Murad Ali Shah to control the robbers."
The People's Party MNA further alleged that the migration of Hindus is part of a conspiracy against the People's Party, as these migrants are potential voters for the party. He urged General Munir to visit North Sindh, convene with local MNAs, and assess the situation directly.
"General Asim Munir, you freed the people of Sindh from the oppression of the robbers," Jamil-ul-Zaman asserted, emphasizing the need for military intervention to restore order.
The appeal underscores the increasing tensions and challenges faced by Sindh amidst ongoing security issues. As the situation develops, the call for military involvement highlights the urgency felt by local leaders to address what they view as a critical threat to both public safety and political stability.
