Following the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), it has been decided that medical facilities for retired employees will continue through State Life Insurance.
State Life Insurance Company has issued written orders ensuring that retired PIA employees will have access to treatment at hospitals and laboratories on its panel across the country, including diagnostic and laboratory tests.
The company has directed all hospitals and laboratories in its network to comply with the instructions. Additionally, District Medical Officers (DMOs) and Health Facility Officers (HFOs) have been tasked with coordinating with hospital administrations to ensure smooth implementation.
The move guarantees that retired employees will not face disruptions in healthcare benefits even after the airline’s privatization, providing continuity of medical support for those who served the national carrier.
