Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of direct flights from Islamabad to London, expanding its UK operations following the resumption of flights to Manchester.

According to a statement issued by the PIA spokesperson, the national airline will operate four weekly flights from Islamabad to London. These flights will land at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4, one of the latest and busiest terminals in the UK.

The spokesperson said that the first Islamabad–London flight will depart on March 29, marking PIA’s return to the London route after a gap of six years.

“London is PIA’s first international destination and remains one of its most attractive and important routes,” the spokesperson said, adding that the resumption reflects growing passenger demand and improved operational readiness.

PIA is already operating three weekly flights from Islamabad to Manchester, which were launched earlier this year. The Manchester operations were inaugurated in October 2025 by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, after which the first flight successfully reached the UK city.

The addition of London flights is expected to provide major relief to Pakistani passengers traveling to the UK, offering direct connectivity and competitive travel options after years of suspension.
