Pir Sahib Pagaro Hails Sindh’s Victory Over Canal Issue, Backs Pakistan Army Against Indian Aggression

KARACHI: Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) chief and Hurr spiritual leader Pir Sahib Pagaro has hailed the government’s decision to scrap the controversial project of digging new canals from the Indus River as a significant victory for the people of Sindh. He emphasized that this success is not the achievement of any single political party, but the joint effort of the conscious youth, women, children, and elderly residents of Sindh.
In his statement, Pir Sahib Pagaro said, "This is a victory of the people of Sindh who, despite the scorching heat and harsh conditions, staged historic protests in small towns and villages to safeguard their rights." He credited the determination and unity of the people for the successful resolution of the canal issue.
Pagaro also reiterated his longstanding position on national security, stressing that, "When there is a threat of war on our borders, it is the duty of the entire nation to stand with the Pakistan Army." He added that the Hurr Jamaat and the people of Sindh are fully supportive of the army, asserting that the Pakistan Army has the strength and capability to defend every inch of the motherland.
He further warned against potential aggression from the Indian government, stating, “Modi, who once worked as a waiter, is capable of any kind of adventurism, but the Pakistan Army will respond to any aggression with full force and the support of the nation."
With the canal issue resolved, Pir Sahib Pagaro urged for the opening of all highways and roads in Sindh to ensure smooth movement, which had previously been hindered due to security concerns. He appealed to the protesters to vacate the roads peacefully, congratulating the people of Sindh for their historic struggle that led to the successful outcome.
