Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the immediate implementation of agreements signed with Belarus. The statement came during a press briefing following the signing ceremony, held in the presence of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the strong and enduring relationship between Pakistan and Belarus, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to collaborate across various sectors. "We share a history of positive relations with Belarus and are committed to fostering deeper cooperation in diverse fields," he said.
The two countries signed several memoranda and agreements, aiming to bolster ties in trade, technology, education, and other strategic areas. This marks the Belarusian President's visit to Pakistan after eight years, underscoring its importance in strengthening bilateral relations.
Describing the visit as pivotal, PM Shehbaz Sharif referred to President Alexander Lukashenko as "Pakistan’s best friend" and expressed gratitude for his commitment to fostering collaboration. Discussions during the visit centered on the swift execution of agreements and exploring new avenues for mutual growth.
The Prime Minister reiterated his resolve to work closely with Belarus to ensure all agreements are implemented effectively and contribute to advancing the partnership between the two nations.
This development highlights Pakistan’s continued efforts to expand its diplomatic and economic engagements globally, with Belarus emerging as a valuable partner in the region.
