PTI Chairman Gohar Khan Apologizes to Journalists After Adiala Jail Incident

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has issued an apology to journalists following an incident in which PTI workers resorted to violence against media personnel outside Adiala Jail.

Speaking to reporters outside the jail, Barrister Gohar expressed regret over the events, stressing that his party strongly condemns such acts. “Differences should not escalate to violence. PTI does not believe in any form of violence, nor do we incite anyone under any circumstances,” he said.

The PTI chief assured that a party-level inquiry will be conducted into the incident involving egg-throwing on Aleema Khan and the assault on journalists. He emphasized that Imran Khan’s family and Bushra Bibi’s family have no political objectives in these matters.

Commenting on another matter, Barrister Gohar said that PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur would have engaged with the Afghan government, but his passport had been blocked for the past three years, restricting his travel.

The incident took place two days ago, when PTI workers clashed with journalists during Aleema Khan’s media talk outside Adiala Jail. Following the episode, a journalist filed a case against Aleema Khan, PTI lawyer Naeem Haider Panjotha, and 40 unidentified individuals.

Barrister Gohar reiterated PTI’s stance of non-violence and assured that those responsible would be held accountable through internal investigation.
