PTI Leaders Raise Concerns Over Messaging from Imran Khan in Jail

Some members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have voiced concerns over the authenticity and process of communication attributed to party founder Imran Khan from prison, sources revealed on Wednesday.

According to party insiders, reservations were raised in the Political and Parliamentary Committee Group regarding how lawyers deliver Khan’s messages from jail, particularly on the sensitive issue of lawmakers’ resignations.

PTI leader Junaid Akbar reportedly alleged that lawyer Zaheer Abbas had failed to convey accurate information to Khan about the resignations, further fueling mistrust.

Sources said several members, particularly from Punjab, demanded greater transparency in handling Imran Khan’s social media posts and public statements. They argued that a single lawyer’s account should not be treated as the founder’s official position. Instead, they suggested that only messages conveyed by Khan’s sisters or verified by at least three lawyers should be accepted as authentic.

Concerns have also surfaced about messages linked to Murad Saeed, with members questioning whether they accurately reflect Khan’s directives.

Party sources confirmed that some leaders are now demanding a formal mechanism to regulate the flow of communication from jail and ensure no misrepresentation occurs.

This internal debate highlights growing unease within PTI ranks over the clarity and credibility of Imran Khan’s voice from behind bars, as the party continues to navigate political turbulence under his leadership.
