PTI Condemns Attacks on Iran, Urges Restraint in Muslim Region

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar strongly condemned the ongoing attacks on Iran and appealed to Tehran to avoid targeting Muslim countries. Speaking to the media, he emphasized that Pakistan’s enemies are terrorists and reaffirmed the party’s previous stance on regional stability, including urging Afghanistan not to become a proxy battleground.

Barrister Gohar expressed frustration over the federal government’s lack of clarity on Pakistan’s policy regarding the Middle East, stating, “Instead of briefing a few leaders, the government should brief the House. We have requested Iran not to target Muslim countries, but no official statement has been provided.”

On domestic issues, he criticized the government for its management of energy resources, saying, “If the government had proper petrol stock, situations like this would not have occurred. Stop lavish spending and think about the people.” He highlighted the recent increase in petrol prices and the cessation of net metering as areas of concern.

The PTI chairman also addressed the party’s long-standing call for justice for its founder, Imran Khan, urging authorities to facilitate access to the High Court and allow family and lawyers to meet him.

Regarding national security, Barrister Gohar referenced the 14 points of the National Action Plan, suggesting that India is allegedly behind activities in Afghanistan and is committing acts of terrorism under the guise of consulates.

Barrister Gohar concluded by emphasizing the need for Pakistan to balance regional diplomacy, protect national interests, and implement domestic reforms to safeguard energy and justice for citizens.
