PTI Founder Approves Zartaj Gul as Parliamentary Leader, Zain Qureshi and Ahmed Chattha as Deputy Leaders
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder has given his approval for the appointment of the party's Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from Dera Ghazi Khan as the parliamentary leader in the lower house of the National Assembly. Zartaj Gul, a former climate change minister in the PTI government, emerged as the chosen candidate from a list of four proposed names.
The proposed candidates for the parliamentary leader position included Zartaj Gul, Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan, Zain Qureshi, and Ahmed Chattha. Following deliberations, Zartaj Gul's nomination received the endorsement of PTI's leadership.
The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) will formally inform the Speaker of the National Assembly about Zartaj Gul's nomination as the parliamentary leader on Monday. Additionally, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, confirmed Zartaj Gul's appointment and announced Zain Qureshi and Ahmed Chattha as deputy parliamentary leaders of the party.
This appointment marks a significant development within PTI's parliamentary leadership, with Zartaj Gul assuming a pivotal role in the National Assembly, supported by Zain Qureshi and Ahmed Chattha as deputy leaders.
