PTI Leader Junaid Akbar Warns of Leaving Presidency Over Principles

PTI leader and provincial president Junaid Akbar made a bold statement during a rally in Mardan, declaring that he would leave his position if the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, failed to acknowledge the "right thing."

"I am a political worker, not a political servant. I can call right right and wrong wrong. If the founder of PTI does not accept the right thing, I will leave the presidency," Junaid Akbar asserted.

Akbar expressed his firm stance against corruption within the party, emphasizing that he would not tolerate "thieves" in PTI. Acknowledging internal divisions, he advocated for dialogue with institutions.

"If one hand is extended, I will extend two hands," he stated, signaling his openness to rebuilding bridges between the party and state institutions.

Reflecting on past mistakes, Akbar admitted that the party was now suffering the consequences of those errors. "This is the first government in history that has been given power by force," he remarked, without elaborating further.

He pledged to convey the voices of grassroots party workers directly to Imran Khan and reaffirmed his support for Chief Minister Amin Gandapur as long as Khan trusted him.

"We want to bridge the gap between institutions and the people. The strength of Pakistani institutions is the strength of the country," Akbar concluded, underscoring his vision of a strong and unified Pakistan.
