PTI’s Imran Khan Receives Eye Checkup at PIMS, Health Stable: Info Minister

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar on Thursday confirmed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad for a medical examination.

Speaking to state-run television, Tarar said that last week, eye specialists had examined Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. Based on their recommendation, he was transferred to PIMS, where the eye procedure lasted approximately 20 minutes. Following the examination, he was shifted back to Adiala Jail with all necessary instructions.

“During the medical procedure, he was completely stable, and Imran Khan is completely healthy,” the minister added. He further noted that all prisoners are provided access to medical care in accordance with prison regulations.

The minister’s statement comes after days of social media speculation regarding Imran Khan’s transfer to PIMS, which had not previously been addressed by the government.
