The twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad will continue to remain under Section 144 till December 24, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema announced in an official notification.
Under the extended restrictions, there is a complete ban on meetings, processions, rallies, and gatherings of more than four people. Additionally, the use of loudspeakers is prohibited to maintain law and order.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that these measures are being implemented to ensure public safety and effective law enforcement. He warned that strict legal action will be taken against those found violating the restrictions.
Authorities have urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and avoid organizing or participating in prohibited gatherings during this period.
