Security forces killed five Khawarij, including their leader Shafiullah alias Shafi, during an intelligence-based operation in the Madi area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij operatives in the area.

The forces successfully neutralized the threat by targeting a hideout, resulting in the deaths of five militants. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the operation site.
