The Sindh High Court (SHC) has disposed of a recovery application after Abdullah, a citizen who had been missing for the past three months, returned home safely.
Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput presided over the hearing of a missing persons case in which representatives of the concerned authorities appeared before the court.
During proceedings, the court was informed that Abdullah had returned home after being missing for three months. The court inquired about his whereabouts during the period of disappearance, but the petitioner’s lawyer responded that Abdullah had not disclosed any information and simply returned without explanation.
Following this development, the court disposed of the recovery application, bringing closure to the case.
Another Missing Persons Case From Sanghar
In a separate case, the Sindh High Court issued notices to the Government of Sindh, Inspector General (IG) Sindh, and other concerned parties regarding the disappearance of Sohail, a citizen missing from Sanghar.
The court has asked all relevant parties to submit their responses by May 29, seeking swift progress in locating the missing individual.
Cases of enforced disappearances and missing persons have remained a pressing human rights concern in Pakistan, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan. Human rights groups have consistently urged the government to ensure accountability, transparency, and speedy resolution of such cases.
