Shutter Strike Extends to Third Day in Ghoshpur Over Abduction of Businessmen

Ghoshpur continues to grapple with a shutter strike on its third consecutive day as businesses remain closed in protest against the abduction of three businessmen from Qambarani Laro on the Main Indus Highway. Nitish Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, and Nitish Gehani were abducted three days ago and are reportedly held captive by bandits.

The shutter strike was initiated following calls from the Hindu community and various political and social parties demanding swift action from law enforcement agencies to ensure the safe return of the abducted individuals. Despite efforts by the police, including meetings between SSP Shikarpur and DC Kashmore-Kandhakot with the hostages' relatives late into the night, the hostages have yet to be recovered.

Expressing their frustration with the administration and police, relatives of the abducted businessmen vowed to continue their protest movement until the hostages are safely returned.

"We will not rest until our loved ones are brought back safely. The authorities must act decisively to end this ordeal," said a spokesperson for the families.

SSP Kashmore-Kandhakot assured the community that operations are ongoing in the slum area, leading to the arrest of several suspects. "We are committed to recovering the hostages swiftly and alleviating the concerns of their families," he stated.

The ongoing strike underscores the community's growing unrest and demands for effective security measures to combat criminal activities in the region. As tensions mount, local authorities face mounting pressure to resolve the abduction case promptly and ensure justice for the affected families.
