POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced the construction of over 2.1 million houses for flood victims in the province. Speaking to the media, the CM emphasized that this is part of the largest housing project in the world, with 800,000 houses already completed.
He noted that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had won more seats in the Sindh Assembly than in previous elections, and the government is committed to providing better facilities to the people. Despite holding a two-thirds majority, CM Shah highlighted that the government remains open to the opposition’s proposals, reflecting a cooperative approach to governance.
The Sindh Chief Minister also discussed the progress on generating affordable electricity from Thar coal, underscoring the province's efforts to provide cheaper energy to its citizens.
In addition, CM Shah expressed concern over the rising wave of terrorism, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, while commenting on the situation in these provinces. He urged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister to consider the welfare of the people rather than focusing on individual issues.
CM Shah concluded by offering his prayers for guidance for the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in these challenging times.
