POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has reaffirmed that Sindh is free from extremism and that terrorist incidents in the province are orchestrated by external conspirators rather than internal elements. He made these remarks during a meeting with British Deputy High Commissioner Lance Dom, where they discussed Pakistan-UK relations, post-flood agricultural recovery, and Sindh’s socio-economic challenges.
CM Murad Ali Shah highlighted Sindh’s inclusive and progressive society, ensuring that minorities enjoy equal rights. Speaking on agricultural challenges, he stated that the provincial government has increased the agricultural tax from 35% to 45% to address economic difficulties. However, water shortages and high fertilizer and pesticide costs have made agriculture less profitable.
