Sindh Home Minister Warns Kachha Robbers Amid “Operation Nijat Mehran”

Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar on Wednesday issued a strong warning to robbers operating in the Kachha area, stating that those who refuse to lay down their arms “will die” as authorities intensify operations to establish state writ in the region.

Lanjar visited the dam in Ronti, Ghotki, to review the law and order situation alongside IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho. Speaking to officials and the media, the Home Minister confirmed that indiscriminate action is being taken against criminal elements, with the Kachha area now largely cleared except for two remaining pockets.

“Whoever does not lay down his arms will face the consequences. A big surprise awaits the remaining robbers,” Lanjar said, emphasizing that Operation “Nijat Mehran” will continue until peace and order are fully restored.

DIG Larkana provided an update on the progress of the operation, reporting that 78 robbers have been arrested, 152 surrendered voluntarily, 17 hostages rescued, and 87 weapons recovered.

The Sindh government has stressed that the operation aims to eliminate criminal networks terrorizing local communities and to ensure the safety of residents in Kachha and surrounding areas.

Authorities have urged anyone still involved in criminal activities to surrender and cooperate, warning that law enforcement agencies will take strict action against those who resist.
