Law enforcement agencies on Thursday arrested a highly educated alleged terrorist, Sajid, in an operation in Panjgur district. Officials said he was involved in reconnaissance and logistics for the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
During a press conference, Additional Chief Secretary Balochistan and DIG CTD stated that Sajid was transporting a large cache of weapons from Panjgur to Turbat.
The officials said Sajid played a central role in spreading the content of banned organizations on social media, and also taught at the University of Turbat, highlighting the challenge posed by educated recruits in extremist networks.
Authorities further indicated that Sajid may have connections with the Baloch Unity Council (BYC) and maintained contact with its leadership.
Three other youths have been arrested recently in related operations, according to officials, who warned that children are being lured into terrorist activities as part of recruitment efforts by these banned groups.
The operation underscores ongoing efforts by Balochistan authorities to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent the radicalization of youth in the province.
