Terrorist Attack Foiled on Police Post in Bannu, Two Policemen Injured

Security forces successfully foiled an attempted terrorist attack on a police post in the Kashu Pul area of Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police sources, unknown terrorists tried to target the police post late Monday night. Officers stationed at the post retaliated swiftly, forcing the attackers to flee the area.

During the exchange of fire, two policemen — identified as Farhad and Latif — sustained minor injuries. Both were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where they are receiving medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

Following the incident, a heavy police contingent reached the site, cordoning off the area and launching a comprehensive search operation to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

This latest incident comes amid growing concerns over the resurgence of militant activity in parts of KP. Law enforcement agencies have intensified surveillance and security measures across sensitive areas to prevent future attacks.

Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
