In a recent intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in Hassan Khel, on the outskirts of Peshawar, security forces successfully neutralized two terrorists while injuring two others. This operation follows closely after the tragic loss of two security personnel during a similar operation in the same area.

 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces engaged the terrorists late Thursday evening, resulting in the elimination of ringleader Ayaz alias Muhammad and Ahmedey alias Koochi. Additionally, two accomplices were wounded in the encounter. The recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from their possession underscores the severity of the threat they posed.

 

Locals have expressed appreciation for the operation, recognizing the efforts of security forces in ensuring the safety and security of the area. Sanitization efforts are underway to eradicate any remaining terrorists in the vicinity, reaffirming the resolve of security forces to combat terrorism across the country.

 

However, tragedy struck in Bannu district when a security forces vehicle was targeted by a roadside bomb, leading to the martyrdom of four military personnel and injuries to three others. The incident underscores the persistent threat posed by terrorist elements in the region.

 

While the security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators, an official statement from ISPR regarding the incident was awaited at the time of reporting.

 

The sacrifices made by security personnel in the line of duty serve as a stark reminder of the challenges posed by terrorism in Pakistan. The nation stands united in mourning the loss of these brave individuals and remains resolute in its determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism from its soil.
